Moral: Adventures are great, and they help us see how much we love home.

Pip was a penguin who lived in the coldest part of the world. But Pip had a secret: he was always sweating!
“It’s like a sauna out here!” Pip would complain, fanning himself with a piece of ice while the other penguins huddled together for warmth.
He decided he needed a real vacation. So, he hopped onto a floating iceberg and sailed North until he reached a cozy little house by the sea.
Late at night, Pip waddled into the kitchen. He saw a giant, white, humming box. He pulled the handle, and a golden light shined upon him. A blast of cold air hit his feathers. Pip sighed with relief.
The Five-Star Fridge Hotel
“Aha! The legendary Ice Palace!” Pip whispered. He climbed past a jar of pickles and made himself a nest behind a carton of eggs.
It was perfect. It was dark, it was chilly, and if he felt hungry, there was always a bowl of leftover spaghetti right next to his bed.
The next morning, the humans opened the fridge. They didn’t see Pip because he was hiding behind the butter. “Honey, why is the butter wearing a tiny red scarf?” the father asked. Pip held his breath and stayed very, very still.
Pip loved his new life. He spent his days sliding on the glass shelves and his nights sleeping on a bed of frozen peas. He realized that being silly and creative was the only way to stay cool.
___Eventually, Pip missed his friends. He realized that even the best fridge isn’t as good as a family. He packed a bag of ice cubes and waddled back to the South Pole, feeling refreshed and ready for the “heat.”
He fell asleep dreaming of the big white box, knowing that there is always a place that feels “just right,” no matter how silly it seems.
